About the Project
PlantAlliance is a public and private consortium of twenty-nine members working together on plant science. Its stated purpose is to support the contribution of plant genetics to the design of innovative agroecological cropping systems, holding on to productivity and product quality while adapting to climate change.
Members sit in colleges, one public and two private, and the consortium runs research calls, scientific working groups and publications. Its themes cover the stabilisation and improvement of crop yield, the development of agroecological agriculture, plant breeding and genetic improvement, climate adaptation, and plant and soil interactions in variety selection.
