About the Project

FFAST studies a new analytical phenotyping strategy, assisted by the Sirius Quality crop model, to describe how a wheat genotype functions. It identifies functional traits by assimilating multiple structural traits, observed with different high-throughput instruments, at different spatial scales and in different environments, into functional plant models.

The project is funded by the ANR through its generic call for proposals and is hosted by the CAPTE team at UMR EMMAH, a joint unit of INRAE and Avignon Université.

Key Objectives

  • Assimilate high-throughput structural observations into functional plant models.
  • Identify the functional traits that describe a wheat genotype across instruments, spatial scales and environments.

Our Role in the Project

Hiphen co-supervises a CIFRE doctoral position on the project.
