About the Project

DISRUPP develops an innovative approach to crop health monitoring in the field, built on cutting-edge technologies already used and validated at experimental scale. It implements satellite and drone imaging for the detection of disease symptoms, and third-generation sequencing for the diagnosis of the health problems those symptoms point to.

The aim is to provide the proof of concept that phytosanitary monitoring combining image analysis with sequencing-based confirmation is a lever for the responsible use of crop protection products.

Key Objectives

  • Implement satellite and drone imaging for the detection of disease symptoms in the field.
  • Apply third-generation sequencing to the diagnosis of crop health problems.
  • Provide the proof of concept that image analysis confirmed by sequencing is a lever for the responsible use of crop protection products.
